An exciting new class for club sailors

Easy to sail, yet almost as fast as a fiveO, and nearly half the price! That should sum up the new AltO. This a dinghy to revitalise club fleet sailing and the Y&Y test report says it all.

Of course introducing a new class in the present economic climate might be slow, but for those to whom it appeals then the price could not be more competitive, especially for a large fast dinghy with epoxy hull, carbon mast and swinging pole. The SMOD (single manufacturer one desgn) era is over. The AltO class is for the long run, not here today and gone tomorrow. There will surely be no more new SMOD zig- zag spinnaker dinghies. The swinging pole is here to stay!

To encourage new club fleets Pinnel and Bax will shortly announce a programme of test sailing events, with a special offer price when three or more boats in a club are purchased.
